Program Studi Teknik Infrastruktur Sipil dan Perancangan Arsitektur (TISPA) Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Diponegoro (SV Undip) undertake a mentorship program to aid in the master plan development for five Senior High Schools (SMA) across Central Java.
The schools receiving this guidance are SMA 1 Wonotunggal, SMA 2 Pekalongan, SMA 1 Kajen, SMA 1 Bojong in Pekalongan Regency, and SMA 1 Pemalang.
This initiative is seen as more than just a contribution from a higher education institution to the community.
Ketua Program Studi Sarjana Terapan Teknik Infrastruktur Sipil dan Perancangan Arsitektur Sekolah Vokasi Undip, Asri Nurdiana, highlighted the dual benefit of the program.
“This is also a platform for project-based learning for our students,” she stated recently at SMA 1 Bojong Pekalongan.
Mahasiswa terlibat langsung dalam proses perencanaan bersama para dosen.
Their involvement spans from collecting field data and analyzing spatial needs to formulating concepts for sustainable school area development.
Through this hands-on experience, students can apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.
This directly assists schools in strategically planning their educational facility development.
The master plan development mentorship is expected to serve as a long-term reference for schools in constructing and arranging their educational facilities.
The goal is to ensure these developments are more effective, functional, and aligned with future needs.
Beyond enhancing the quality of school infrastructure planning, this activity also strengthens collaboration between higher education and secondary educational institutions. The aim is to collectively improve the quality of education in Central Java.
